French Gite
Welcome to our pet-friendly cottage in Loire, where dogs can stay for free. Gite in Loire is located in a quiet little hamlet nestled in the peaceful French countryside and surrounded by Anjou vineyards. With its rustic look and own large terrace overlooking the magnificent landscape, this Gite offers beautiful and relaxing living conditions.
Within 12 acres of fields and off the main road, children (and grown ups) can enjoy the freedom they crave by playing in the play area, pétanque, table football, football, table tennis and play the large garden games provided in a safe environment, whilst the adults enjoy their peace and quiet. The in-ground heated pool is ideal for hot summer days (open May to September, weather dependant). The sunsets are incredible, due to no light pollution and huge skies.
OUR GITE
Our Gite, with its own large terrace overlooking the pool and the breathtaking landscape, offers magnificent and relaxing living conditions for a short stay or a long stay. Pets welcome
Within the spacious accommodation there are three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower room and a very large living / dining area, complete with log burner and central heating, vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. The fully equipped kitchen has electric hob and oven, fridge / freezer, crockery and cutlery. Upon request, there is use of a washing machine and tumble dryer free of charge.
Our Gite is accessible for guests with walking difficulties. There are small steps to the entrance and a step to the twin room and shower room. An inside ramp is available upon request
There is a large TV with British and French Freeview channels, a DVD player and Bluetooth speaker for you to listen to music.
High chair, baby bouncer, travel cot and fire guard are available free of charge, with advance notice.
All pets are welcome free of charge with prior notice.
Free WIFI access throughout the gîte and all grounds
We also welcome long or short term rentals, ideal for those looking to extend their summer vacation or for those who may be looking to buy property in the area, we can even store your belongings here in our storage facility at a small daily rate!

**JUST 50€ DEPOSIT PER WEEK IS REQUIRED UPON BOOKING & PAYMENT UPON ARRIVAL**
The rates include fresh bed linen, wash towels/tea towels (pool towels are charged extra at just 5€ per stay), which are changed weekly. Also includes central heating and/or wood for the log burner if required.
Check-in between 4pm-10pm, check out by 10am
10€ for late check out upon request
Take more time to relax and prepare for your onward journey, or just spend the time languishing in bed. Our late check out offers you to extend the holiday until 2 pm (subject to availability). You can also leave your luggage with us if you wish to enjoy your final day out and about. We can also taxi you to the local train stations or airports at a low fee.
Well behaved pets are allowed with prior notice at no extra cost and should be kept on a lead. Please pick up their mess and use the bins provided. There are cats and chickens on site.

The Gite has its own large Terrace with BBQ, so you can dine alfresco with views of the pool and fantastic stunning landscape over acres of countryside. The sunsets are amazing due to no light pollution and big skies

Pool
The inground heated pool (10x5m, 1.5m deep) is a great way to cool down on those hot summer days (open May to September, weather dependant). The kids can play while you just relax and watch the local wildlife.

AROUND THE ANJOU REGION
As Gite in Loire is centrally located, there is so much to discover & do within 15/60 mins drive. Anjou wine is produced locally and wine tours are a must, which we arrange and chauffeur you during the summer.
For the energetic, there are plenty of choices with horseriding, cycling, walking, swimming, karting, canoeing, golf. The nearby towns of Saumur, Doue La Fontaine, Cholet, Angers, Thouars, which have great chateaux, Troglodytes & Sarcophages, museums, gardens/parks,theme parks, restaurants, shops and much more.......
The nearest villages are Nueil-Sur-Layon (5kms) and Vihiers (9kms) which offers post offices, boulangeries, banks, supermarkets, tabac/bars and restaurants.

The Troglodyte caves in Doue-La-Fontaine are a must see tourist attraction. There are many fine examples of troglodytes in towns and villages of the region such as Saumur and Doue le Fontaine. A very good example of this is the Troglodyte village of Rochemenier.

Travel through the village of Clere-Sur-Layon, towards St Pierre a Champ (D54). After you have exited Clere-Sur-Layon, turn right at the first crossroads, where you will see the sign for Camping Le Serpolin and follow this single track road for approx. 2kms until a sharp bend to the right, where you will see Le Serpolin on your left.
